to find yourself again...
But you move forward, you find your light, you bury everything that doesn‘t deserve you,
you stop wasting words and breath...
And then you know...
It is time!
It is time to rock out this life!

Rocking Guatemala

A road trip of two friends rocking Guatemala...!

Yeah... If only man could see inside a sentence... And watch everything that hides inside of it... Because a road trip is more than just a simple road trip... A road trip is full of laughs, risks, problems, life... It is an adventure that will remain forever in the hearts of those who decided to just hit the road and live...!

An evening before I left Germany and returned to Guatemala I spoke with one of my good friends that I made in Bamberg, the master in the electric guitar, Andy Arneth. We remembered the great time I had playing Sundays in the Sound-n-Arts club in the Sandstraße, Bamberg and so we rocked together the stage one last time... The atmosphere was perfect, I remind that my brother Christian Planken thought and said to me that it was my best performance of all in the club, the people had a great time, of that I'm sure, the club was full... Yeah it was a great farewell party for that point in my Life...! 

But after that superb night where I was jamming with all the musicians I met in the time I lived in Bamberg, Andy said that he would surely come to Guatemala to visit me, to play the Rock'n Roll music and of course to see the pyramids in Tikal, because it was a dream he wanted to fulfill... And if I'm completely honest I have to say that I thought he was joking... But some months later I received a message from him saying that he had already bought the ticket to Guatemala so... The adventure began again...

Finally after some months waiting for the arrival of Andy to Guatemala, he made it on the 1st of February of 2016 and like the pirate he is (Jack Sparrow), looking for adventure, he was ready to rock the country with his Fender Telecaster. The only thing he needed was a little push and a confirmation of the decision we made in words...! And there I was... Ready to give him that push... Because if I say I'll do something... It is because I'll do it, and yeah... We just hit the road with our mission of rocking the country, filming all the videos we could, with of course, the best possible backgrounds of the beautiful Guatemala behind each session we made... And that is how the ''Rocking Guatemala'' documental was born... Andy and I played my songs around the country... And the last thing I can say about it is: WE HAD FUN.

Rocking Guatemala is coming... On June 5 2016...!

But not before Rock'n Roll takes on May because I'll release some videos, one per week, in May which will be part of the final documental.

The World is in a critical point. Right now it is on the middle of two roads that are leading to different destinations... In fact, they are taking the globe to totally opposite places... The first one goes in the right direction and the other one will guide the humanity to an error. I'm no one but just a young man who plays the guitar and sings his own songs... But before things start to happen I did not want to stay still, silent, just watching everything happen around me... So that is why I wrote Born Now, I wanted to say something about it... I just believe we are still on time to make my generation a ''Generation Of Gold''.

I already released 3 EP's ''Sounds Of My Room''(SOR.)... ''I Am Who I Am EP''(IWIA.)... and the last one ''Renaissance EP''(REN.). From each EP I decided to take one song and then make a video of it. For SOR I chose ''I Don't Want To Go To School'', for IWIA I took ''I Am Who I Am'' and for REN I thought ''Born Now'' would be the perfect song for the message I wanted to transmit, so I don't care if the song is too long, what matters here is the message, the music with sense, music that can make you think and take action... Of course I have all types of songs, songs to live, love, laugh, songs with crazy verses etc. And my music genre goes indeed more in the Rock'n Roll direction... But the Renaissance EP is specifically that part of me that wants to leave a message, that is why I leave my words here not to make an example or inspiration but to wake up the real heroes.

As I already wrote before in other posts... The intention is to wake up the people that change the world everyday... Because as human I fall, I make mistakes and I'm far away of being a good influence but the symbol of a ''Generation of Gold'' that creates a better future for everyone, which is done together by helping us day by day till we reach it... That is something that is incorruptible. Therefore I put my eyes on the message, I put my eyes on the symbol and not in the man because a symbol is something that can live forever. 

So please enjoy the video... It will be released on 29.02.2016. It was filmed in Guatemala City and it has scenes of the most important pacific demonstrations of our near global history... It remembers the past but lives in the present... It takes action now... Because war will not lead us to a bright future... More blood... Will bring more blood... And we are now people with Understanding... So let us use it as our main weapon to make a better world... To make our generation... ''A Generation Of Gold''.
